Future carbon dioxide emissions and current carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere will lead to adverse climate changes on both short and long time scales that would be essentially irreversible.
Team RenewCO2 aims to facilitate the sustainable utilization of captured carbon by means of developing a system that converts carbon dioxide into formic acid by using electrolysis. This process is a circular and sustainable process that gives a safe chemical compound while using the CO2 to our advantage. The formic acid produced can be used in many industrial applications and as a safe fuel.
