The Challenge 

The current furniture market presents consumers with a stark choice: mass-produced, cheap options lacking customisation and durability, or expensive custom-fit furniture tailored to individual preferences. This dilemma leaves many middle-class buyers without accessible, personalised solutions for their homes. While affordable options lack quality and uniqueness, custom-fit furniture remains out of reach due to its high cost. Bridging this gap is essential to meet the growing demand for affordable, sustainable, and customisable furniture among middle-class consumers.

The Solution

Parafurn aims to bridge that gap by creating affordable and sustainable custom furniture at scale, tailored to the specific needs of our clients. All furniture items are designed parametrically, allowing customers to create their ideal furniture using intuitive sliders (for width, height, etc.) and categories (materials, finishes, etc.). Manufacturing files are automatically created and sent to CNC machines that fabricate the furniture. Using digital manufacturing allows for each furniture piece to be unique and affordable at scale.
